Coach Kristen returns to
the Dolphins for her third season as Head Coach. She brings
many years of experience to the pool deck, both as both a swim
coach and as a competitive swimmer. She began swimming at the
age of 6 with the Reedley Marlins recreational team and then moved
on to USA Swimming, joining the State Center Swim Club,
both located in Central
California
. Kristen is
a certified USA Swim Coach and an ASCA level 2 certified coach
(she has completed the course for ASCA level 3 and is awaiting
certification). She coached the El Dorado High
School swim team for 2 years, winning the Pioneer
Valley League (PVL) Championships both years. Kristen also
serves as the Gold Rush Aquatics Head Coach. Kristen's
coaching philosophy involves training the complete
athlete, incorporating the physical, mental, and
emotional aspects of swimming. She believes that success in
swimming comes first from correct stroke technique, then moves on
to building strength and speed. Her desire is to promote the
team aspect of swimming and to help each child reach their full
potential.
